Camping Fun!

The summer has been oficially kick off with our first trip to the lake. It was a great time! It was the first time we used the camper and the first time Pork Chop and I had been camping together. We all had a lot of fun! It was a little exhausting being on the boat all day so I caught a lot of hell for wanting to go to sleep early or when I wanted to quit drinking. I have started a scrapbook dedicated to camping! Every trip seems to add a little more to our vocabulary. This trip seemed to be filled with great quotes. Here are a few I would like to share:

“That’s what Duane said…” – Jana (First one to say it, but then it never stopped!)
“Pork Chop must really like his job!” – Kristie (Talking about something adult…)
“Somebody give me some pepper.” – Pork Chop (Trying to make Jana “sneeze”)
“Makin’ memories…” – Greg (Greg’s favorite)
“It’s the ore of life!” – Duane (Started after Greg threw the ore at Jana’s head)
“A Fucka Youa!” – Pork Chop (That’s what the paper said when he was asked to read)
“Are you talking about cooking hot dogs?” – Kristie (Nobody was!)
“This is some good shit…” – Greg
“Weiner tonsils” – Amber (Said instead of tater tonsils, now Amber’s new nickname.)
“That’s sick!” – Greg (Usually followed a perverted comment involving Amber)
“Top of the mornin’ wood to ya!” – Jana
“Top of the head to ya.” – Jana (Amber’s head was burned)
“Man, this guy has had dentures since he was 12 and they are wooden!” – Mark (Booger played a 4 month joke on him about this guy they work with)
“Could you imagine going to 84 Lumber when you had a cavity to get some wood putty?” – Pork Chop
“Thanks you!” – Kristie and Greg (Amber thinks this is really cute!)
“Daisy sharted on me!” – Duane (After Daisy rubbed her ass on him)
“This is some good shit right here.” – Greg (Threw it in again!)
“I’m a land hoe” – Amber ( I don’t remember where this came from)
“I prefer to be called the aquamarine hoe.” – Jana
“Their Fun Station looks like the Blah Station!” – Amber (Other boaters didn’t have as much fun as we did on the Fun Station)
“I saw skeeters doing it!” – Jana (Waiting outside the bath house while Pork Chop pooped)
“I know that’s a female mosquito now…” – Jana (Saw one on the wall)
“That’s why she’s in here!” – Amber (In the girl’s bathhouse)
“Don’t write on his truck, John’s going to kill you!” – Mark (When Jana wrote on Pork Chop’s dirty truck)
“I think my brother heard us having sex last night”—Amber (After Duane honked the horn at them in the middle of the night)

Happy Campers!

Pork Chop bought a camper! We are going to pick it up tonight. It's a pop up that sleeps 6, has a sink, refrigerator, and a stove. It's a 2002 model, Viking? The first trip will be to Summersville for Memorial Day weekend. We have to work hard to get it ready this weekend. I am so excited!!! I have been looking at camprgrounds online and I found several that I would like to go to this summer. I promise to get some pictures of it on here soon! We got it from an old man who cut his tow off with a lawnmower and has had knee surgery. It was just too much for him to keep up with. When we looked at it last week, he sat there talking to his dog about not wanting to give it up. I felt bad for him, but really happy for us. It's the first one we looked at and I fell in love with it. It's all I have been thinking about. I even went and looked at a campground in Ripley on my lunch break. I get so excited thinking about the campfires, the lake and all the fun stuff that comes with camping!

Boats, Tents, Water, Fires...

Amber's dad got a new boat and I am too excited for this summer. I didn't get to go last year and I won't mention why so this year, I have too much excitment built up inside of me. When I think about camping and the boat, I smile from ear to ear. It's by far my favorite thing to do in the summer. We aren't going until Memorial Day weekend, but that's all I think about. I can' wait, I can't sleep and I can't eat! OK, I can sleep and eat, but we are still a couple of weeks away so that may change the closer that we get to this fabulous weekend.
The truth is I wasn't always a big fan of camping. Actually my idea of camping was in my aunt or my parent's yards and by the end of the night we would end up inside. Sure, we always camped in campers, but I never experienced "real camping" until two years ago. That is when I discovered that I love camping and that it's ok not to take a shower for a couple of days. I remember asking Amber is she was bringing a hair dryer. Much to my surprise, we were camping on a hill on the side of the lake. That's right, no electricity and no bathrooms! I admit at first I didn't like the looks of it, but by the end of the weekend I was rolling around in the mud with the rest of them! It was awesome! I even left Myrtle Beach early that summer to get back to WV and camp. So, as the summer approaches us, the tents are packed and the boat is ready, all I have to say is...
HAPPY SUMMER EVERYONE!!! and
HAPPY CAMPING!!!
I can't wait!
